REMOVE WINDSHIELD FROM THE FAIRING AND KEEP ALL THE STOCK HARDWARE SET TO THE SIDE.
PULL STOCK RUBBER GROMMETS FROM THE BOTTOM OF THE WINDSHIELD AND REPLACE WITH THE NEW LARGE RUBBER GROMMETS.
INSTALL THE SMALL RUBBER GROMMETS INTO THE UPPER HOLES ON THE WINDSHIELD.
LOOSEN UP THE UPPER ARMS ON THE FAIRING BRACKETS AT BOTH POINTS JUST ENOUGH TO BE ABLE TO MOVE AROUND.
INSTALL THE NEW UPPER BOLTS (10/32 X ¾”) WITH THE STOCK PADED WASHER THAT CAME WITH FAIRING KIT THROUGH THE WINDSHIELD TO THE UPPER ARMS TO A SNUG POINT BUT DO NOT TIGHTEN DOWN. (UTILIZE SOME THREAD LOCKER/LOCTITE AT THESE POINTS)
EASILY PLACE THE NEW WINDSHIELD SPACERS BETWEEN THE WINDSHIELD AND FAIRING WITH THE ANGLED PART OF THE SPACER TOUCHING THE FAIRING SIDE AND SLOWLY TURN THEM WITH YOUR HANDS TILL THEY SIT RIGHT AGAINST THE FAIRING AND THE WINDSHIELD.
SLIDE THE SILVER FLAT WASHER BETWEEN THE BOTTOM LARGE RUBBER GROMMET AND THE NEW SPACER. (SAME ON OTHER SIDE)
TAKE THE NEW LONGER BOTTOM BOLTS (¼” X 2”) AND SLIDE ON THE PROVIDED BLACK FLAT WASHER AND SLOWLY FEED THROUGH THE WINDSHIELD, THE SPACER, AND THE FAIRING. (SAME ON OTHER SIDE)
INSTALL THE NEW NYLOCK NUTS TO THE BOTTOM BOLTS THAT WITH THE BLACK PADDED WASHER THAT CAME WITH ORIGINAL FAIRING KIT WITH THE PADDING SIDE TOUCHING THE FAIRING. (TIGHTEN TO A SLIGHT SNUG SPOT)
(BACK TO THE TOP) ADJUST TOP OF THE WINDSHIELD TO POSITION THAT LINES UP WITH THE GAP THE NEW SPACERS CREATED AND TIGHTEN UP THE ARMS AND THEN THE UPPER WINDSHIELD BOLTS.
TIGHTEN UP THE LOWER WINDSHIELD BOLTS. (NOTE: YOU DO NOT NEED TO OVER TIGHTEN THE BOTTOM BOLTS WHICH COULD CAUSE INDENTATIONS IN YOUR PAINT, THE NYLOCK NUTS WILL STAY TIGHT AND YOU CAN ALWAYS COMBINE THAT WITH SOME THREAD LOCKER/LOCTITE)
